We include the following items in each bag (at a minimum):
- BlankieGram super soft blanket covered in uplifting words to keep you warm, encouraged & loved during treatment
- Neck pillow to help make you feel more comfortable and when you fall asleep during treatment, you won’t wake up with a crick in your neck.
- Warm fuzzy gripper socks to keep your feet warm and to ensure a non slip trip to the bathroom during treatment without having to put your shoes back on.
- Journal to put down your thoughts and emotions during or after treatment. Expressive writing can be therapeutic.
- Adult Coloring/Activity or Crossword Puzzle book to help pass the time
- Lemon Drops to combat the metallic taste from chemo
- GinGin chews/candies/gum to help with the nausea chemo brings about
- Lotion and Lip Balm

Nutritional Meals for Health & Healing for $40/wk or $160/month

For $160 per month, you can sponsor food for a cancer patient (living outside Davidson or Williamson County) going through chemotherapy.

The Heimerdinger Foundation (one of our partners) is doing a great job, preparing healthy meals for cancer patients and their caregivers for FREE if they live in Davidson or Williamson County. Cancer patients living outside that service area, can still benefit from the meals but the cost is $40 per week = $160 per month.
Healthy eating is of utmost importance during treatment for cancer patients. However, grocery shopping, cooking and taking care of oneself while undergoing treatments is quite a challenge. Friends and family may cook meals but are not usually using organic or healthy ingredients which is what is needed during this time to boost the immune system. Having healthy meals can truly be a life saver!
We pick up the meals from the Heimerdinger Foundation in Nashville on Tuesdays and deliver them to persons we support.
